Ifthar Dinner under Patronage of H.H. Sheikha Raudha Bint Maktoum Al Maktoum |

The International Women's Cultural Forum of Dubai arranged Ifthar Dinner on Thursday, 19th October, under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikha Raudha Bint Maktoum Al Maktoum, who opened the dinner.
In her opening speech she said that this Ifthar dinner is especially in memory of the last Presidents of the country H.H.'s Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Maktoum Al Maktoum. She mentioned that we all shall always remember and to think of the Sheikh's who did a lot of things for this country and created our presents.
The dinner was attended by a lot of Sheikh's and Sheikha's from Abu Dhabi and Dubai. In his speech Sheikh Sayed Bin Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan said that the country is very lucky about its ancestors and founders of the country. Further participants of the gentlemen's dinner were H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum and the famous Dr. Omar Abdel Al Kafi, Department of Oslamic Affairs, in distributing booklets about the Islam as well as H.E. Ibrahim Bumilha (Counceller for Dubai Ruler for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs), Consultant for H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai.
The ladies dinner was attended also by H.H. Sheikha Raudha Bint Maktoum Al Maktoum, the President of Commitee of the International Women's Cultural Forum, H.H. Sheikha Raudha Isa Bint Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikha Shamsa Bint Hasher Al Maktoum as well as the Diplomatic Ladies Association. In the speech of Dr. Nawar Al Qaissi it was mentioned again, that all are lucky about the founders of the country, who builded up a good life and country for everybody. That the influence of Sheikh Zayed, Sheikh Rashid and Sheikh Maktoum is still with us.
In her additonal speech in front of all Sheikh's, Mrs. Iman Ismail Abdullah Al Hashemi (foto left) said, that the International Women's Cultural Forum of Dubai gave this dinner because of respect and love to all the Presidents. That surrounding of their efforts is, as if they are still alive and with us. Ms Rahma, a young fillipine lady converted to Islam in front of the Sheikhs. Ms Noura, a German business lady who converted to Islam 6 month ago (and supported Mrs Iman by supporting the organisation of the dinner) gave in her speech some details about her way to Islam and her experience being a new Muslim living in 2 cultures. Ms Noura enjoyed her 1st Ramadan with H.H. Sheikha Raudha Bint Maktoum Al Maktoum as a part of this local Muslim-community. (Attachment newspaper report Arabic) |
